According to a statement from the provincial government of Namibe, to which VerAngola had access, the meeting on Tuesday was held precisely to discuss the expansion of services.

"The provincial governor, Archer Mangueira, met with the heads of the Africell group on Tuesday, with whom he discussed the details of the expansion of the mobile phone signal in the province of Namibe", the statement reads.

On the occasion, the provincial governor "welcomed the investment made by the Africell group and requested that private investment also cover areas of the province where the mobile phone signal is a justified need, both in terms of production, tourism and commercial activity, as well as in interpersonal relations".

In this sense, the operator's officials have set the launch for November.

"According to the heads of Africell, the signal will be launched in Namibe in November of this year", the statement reads.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Africell group, Ziad Dalloul, as well as Magase Mogale, executive director, Jorge Vazquez, PCA of Africell Angola, and Hugo Augusto, director for Regulation and External Relations of Africell Angola, were part of the delegation that travelled to Namibe.
