According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, which VerAngola had access to, the session, held at the Presidential Palace, served to consider "a set of matters related to different sectors of governance," as well as "a briefing on the public security situation in the country over the past two days."
Among the various topics discussed, stands out the review of the "State General Budget Execution Report for the Second Quarter of 2025, a document that presents a summary of budgetary, financial and asset execution, as well as other information that allows for an overall view of the management of the State Budget in the period in question", the report of which will subsequently be sent to the National Assembly for discussion and approval.
The environment sector was another topic on the agenda, with the body analyzing the proposal to create the Serra do Pingano and Morro do Moco conservation units.
"In the area of the Environment, also for submission to the National Assembly, the proposed law creating the Serra do Pingano Conservation Area, located in the province of Uíge, and the Morro do Moco Conservation Area, in the province of Huambo, was considered," the note reads.
The council also analyzed a proposed law on the Comprehensive Response to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, as well as the "presidential decree approving the Restructuring of the Integrated Program for Local Development and Poverty Alleviation."
According to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism, that VerAngola had access to, four strategic projects in this sector were approved at the 7th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers.
These are the projects 'Capacita Turismo', 'Comunica Turismo', 'Planifica Turismo' and 'Reclassifica Turismo'.
"Under the brand Turismo AO – Together Promoting Tomorrow's Tourism Today, the presented projects structure the sector's growth and position it as an essential pillar for economic diversification, job creation, and the appreciation of Angola's natural and cultural heritage," reads the ministry's statement.
According to the Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, these plans "represent a commitment to quality, competitive, and sustainable tourism, capable of generating opportunities, inspiring confidence, and projecting Angola as a destination of excellence."
Thus, according to the ministry, the 'Capacita Turismo' project will be aimed at "training and qualifying staff to ensure excellent services throughout the country," while 'Comunica Turismo' is an "integrated promotional strategy with the new international brand 'Visit Angola.'"
In turn, 'Planifica Turismo' concerns the "sustainable tourism planning of 29 areas of interest, respecting the environment and local communities", while 'Reclassifica Turismo' aims to "update and harmonize hotel classification, aligning it with international standards".
