The parliament, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, informs that, "as part of the 72-hour state visit to Angola, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan", will be received this Tuesday afternoon, "at the National Assembly, in a solemn session".
"The ceremony, which begins with the performance of the anthem of the Republic of both countries, followed by a cultural moment, includes a welcome message, to be delivered by the Angolan parliamentary leader, Carolina Cerqueira", reads the note.
The Tanzanian president will then speak to Angolans. "Next, Samia Suluhu Hassan, the sixth President of Tanzania and the first woman to ascend to the position in her country, will address Angolans from the pulpit of the Plenary Hall," the note says.
Afterwards, she will be "taken to the Main Hall, where she will sign the guest book and, in the front, from the same place, she will pose for the institutional photograph with the deputies of the National Assembly".
"Also in the Great Hall, upon arrival, Tanzanian politicians will have the opportunity to see the model of the National Assembly Palace, available in that space," the statement added.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to which VerAngola had access, the President of Tanzania arrived in the country on Monday afternoon.
"Upon her arrival at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the Tanzanian Head of State was received by Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs", among other entities.
The program of his visit, which takes place at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, also includes a visit to the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Memorial and a meeting with President João Lourenço.
