The OEC, in a statement sent to VerAngola, informs that only students who reside in Benguela and attend the Jean Piaget University can register.

"Registration began on the 3rd of April and ends on the 15th. Only students residing in Benguela and attending the Jean Piaget University must register, by filling out a specific form that is available at the secretariat of this university", reads the note.

Once registered, the statement said, students will go through a selection process, "which goes from screening applications, conducting face-to-face interviews with potential candidates and final interviews, to define the group of students who will intern in the construction project of the Lobito Refinery, part of the ongoing work and the responsibility of OEC Angola".

Regarding vacancies, this year, ten are available in areas such as mechanical/electrical engineering, occupational safety engineering, etc.

"For 2024, there are 10 vacancies available, in the following areas: one for Administrative & Financial HR (HR, IT, General Services and Accounting); one for Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Equipment); one for Occupational Safety Engineering (Environment, Health, Occupational Safety); two for Civil Engineering/Architecture (Planning, Engineering); two for Civil Engineering (Subcontracts and Customer measurement); and three for Civil Engineering (Production)", reads the statement.

The aforementioned program aims to "provide access to an internship opportunity for young Benguela students and identify future 'trainees' who could be part of the construction project of this refinery", adds the note.

Lasting four months, the internship begins on June 20th and will run until October 20th.
