The protocol is intended to use the CFB branch (between Lobito and Luau) to deliver postal services, explained Walter Teixeira, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of Correios de Angola.
The official, quoted by Angop, clarified that the "idea is to have partners" that can help them "maintain the quality" of their services: "The idea is to have partners that can help us maintain the quality of our services, taking advantage of this synergy so that we can better serve our customers".
Without giving a specific date for the start of operations, the PCA of the Correios de Angola mentioned that the technicians of the two companies will work side by side so that this process is fast, since the customers are rigorous, and in this way it is necessary to find answers quickly.
He also took the opportunity to mention that Correios de Angola continues to grow, even if they need improvements, and are therefore looking for partnerships with other companies to reach their goals.
António Cabral, CEO of CFB, said that the idea was well received, as this service is also part of the company's corporate purpose.
Regarding the benefits of the partnership, the official said that it is "another deal", since the largest loads will be in charge of the future concessionaire that will explore the Corredor do Lobito, with the CFB being responsible for the transport of passengers and small loads.
He also considered, quoted by Angop, that "it will be another economic solution for the company, insofar as the current operational subsidies do not cover the totality of workers' salaries".
