Petro enters winning at BAL with Carlos Morais aiming for the title

Petro de Luanda debuted in the best way in the African Basketball League (BAL), beating the Cap Town Tigers, from South Africa, by 90-61.

The Angolans were always superior, and at half-time they were already winning by 44-33. The advantage was maintained throughout the game, which took place at the Hassan Mustafa Halls Pavilion in Cairo (Egypt).

The late game (23:00) had no public to watch. José Neto led the team, whose highlight was Carlos Morais, top scorer, with 23 points. At the end of the match, the winger reaffirmed that the objective of the 'oil' team is to win the competition.

The 'tricolors' return to the field this Tuesday against Cobra Sport Club, from Sudan. Petro's opponents lost in their debut against the home team, the Egyptians Zamalek. Petro's next game is scheduled for 19:30 (one hour less in Angola).
