According to a note from the Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL), Elisa will be responsible for services in the seven districts of the municipality of Luanda.
The signing took place this Monday, by the president of CACL, Maria Antónia Nelumba, and by the chairman of the Board of Directors of Elisal, Gonçalves Imperial, and was witnessed by the vice-governor for the Economic Area, Lino Mateus Sebastião, on behalf of the Governor of Luanda, Ana Paula de Carvalho.
According to the GPL note, the contract is budgeted at 14 billion kwanzas per year, and the "service includes cleaning of avenues and streets, basic sanitation, tree pruning, among others".
Furthermore, the contract also "gives Elisal the prerogative to hire small companies to operate in areas where the company has no direct intervention".
Delivery of means to Elisal
Also this Monday, the LPG delivered means for the collection of solid waste to Elisal.
"Solid waste collection vehicles, tippers and containers are the means delivered to the company that won the public tender to take care of sanitation in the seven districts of the municipality of Luanda", can be read in another note made available on Facebook by the government of Luanda.
Cited in the note, Lino Mateus Sebastião highlighted the "permanent need to monitor Elisal's actions", having appealed to district administrators "to sensitize citizens to take care of the means now available".
In turn, Maria Antónia Nelumba, underlined "the transparency of the tender process, by prior qualification, in which Elisal won" and "considered the signing of the agreement that will make the capital city cleaner for the pride of its inhabitants important".
