Speaking within the scope of the Mineiro Worker's Day - promoted by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, from 11 to 27 April - the official indicated that the refinery system was identified in Portugal, but "adapts to the reality of Angola , since the amounts of gold are still not very significant".
The sector wants to boost the results of gold exploration, with a view to expanding its contribution to the creation of national fortune, said the minister, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
The head of the Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas portfolio regretted the illegal exploitation of gold in the country, having taken the opportunity to announce that, along with Cabinda and Uíge, the province of Huambo joins the list of areas with confirmed gold reserves. , writes the same newspaper.
He also mentioned that the country has returned to gold production, and the Executive is vigilant in the event that this element is refined in Angola, justifying that this was one of the reasons that led to recent visits to gold refineries in Dubai.
It is recalled that last year, at a seminar on mining, the minister informed that Angola had, to date, 28 licensed gold projects, of which 20 were in the prospecting phase and the rest already had exploration titles, but only two had started production and marketing.
