According to a note made available on Facebook from the Presidency, the diplomat went to the capital "to say goodbye" to the head of state, as he concluded his five-year mission in Libreville.
At the end of the meeting, François Lounceny Fall said that he took the opportunity to thank João Lourenço "for everything he has done for the establishment of peace in the Central and Great Lakes regions of Africa".
Cited in the presidency's note, the official – who is of Guinean nationality – considered that those regions "grew a lot, in all aspects, with the contribution of Angola".
He also took the opportunity to stress that the United Nations will continue to assist Angola "in its efforts for economic and social development and the consolidation of democracy".
