According to fire subinspector Jorge David, the rain also destroyed 90 residences.
One of the victims is a 53-year-old woman, who died after her residence collapsed in Benguela. The other two victims died by drowning on the beaches of Baía Farta and Catumbela.
"The civil protection services and firefighters intervened in several occurrences to highlight here, unfortunately, three dead and nine injured. Of these three deaths, one was as a result of the collapse of a residence in the municipality of Benguela, an elderly woman of 53 years of age, two by presumed drowning in the municipality of Baía Farta, a citizen of 34 years, on the beach São José, and the other, a citizen of 25 years, in the municipality of Catumbela," explained, Jorge David, in statements to public radio.
