This information comes from Rebeca Barreiros, director of the Kitanda travel agency, which handles visitor logistics in Benguela.

According to her, demand has been growing steadily, and there is already a waiting list.

Therefore, she added, the company is considering "putting a second train on each trip."

"We were informed by the company about the possibility of putting a second train on each trip," she said, speaking to Angop.

The most recent Rovos Rail train entered Angola last Saturday, arriving in Lobito (Benguela) this Wednesday. Coming from Tanzania, the train carried 54 passengers of various nationalities to Lobito, after passing through Bié and Huambo.

These tourists, according to the travel agency director, disembark in Lobito, where they will stay for three days, while the train returns with another 54 tourists.

During their three-day visit to this province, visitors will visit the Archaeology Museum, a flamingo sanctuary, and the Caxaramba beverage factory. They will also see Fort São Pedro in Catumbela, and the Nossa Senhora do Pópulo church, the Anthropology Museum, and the Morena beach promenade in Benguela, Angop reports.

Upon arriving in Lobito, visitors were greeted with traditional music and dance, performed by the Bismas das Acácias group.

According to Angop, overall, tourists rated the trip as "excellent," considering the climate, scenery, and hospitality.
