Using social media, Karina Barbosa announced the achievement, expressing pride.
"It is with immense pride, affection, and a sense of mission that I share with you an achievement that fills my heart: Soraya da Piedade and I managed to secure 115 scholarships for young Angolans, thanks to a partnership with the European Business Institute of Luxembourg," reads the Instagram post, which VerAngola had access to.
Of the 115 scholarships, 10 are MBAs, five are bachelor's degrees, and the remaining 100 are intensive online courses.
"More than 100,000 euros have been invested in education, including 10 MBAs, five bachelor's degrees, and 100 intensive online courses in strategic areas such as Management and Leadership, Compliance and Market Integrity, Management and Sustainability, Finance, Blockchain, Project Management, Technology and Artificial Intelligence Integration, Cybersecurity, English, Women's Leadership, Strategic Management, among others," the publication reads.
The businesswoman considers this act a "true step towards a more just, prepared future with real opportunities" for young people.
She also took the opportunity to mention the honor she received at the Women Achievers Africa Conference, which recently took place in Nigeria.
"(...) At the Women Achievers Africa Conference, held recently in Nigeria, I was honored with the 'Changemakers Award 2025,' alongside Soraya and other extraordinary women leaders from our continent for our careers and impact on society. A moment of recognition, yes, but, above all, a moment of strengthening our commitment to Angola, to Africa, and to all women and young people who believe that it is possible to do things differently and do things better," she wrote.
