The President of the Government of Spain formalized the invitation this Thursday, when he was in Angola on an official visit to reinforce bilateral cooperation. Pedro Sánchez is now in Senegal.
The Angolan Head of State considered the visit an opportunity to renew the bonds of friendship and cooperation that have lasted for decades between the two countries.
"I am pleased to know that, within the framework of the internationalization policy of its economy, Spain chose Angola as one of the first in Africa, for the implementation of its internationalization strategy", said João Lourenço, in a statement to which VerAngola had access .
The President said that it was a very correct decision, especially at this time in the world crisis, not only in the area of health, but also in the area of the economy of most countries in the world.
Bearing in mind that the African continent has innumerable poorly used resources, João Lourenço believes that the partnership represents a great benefit for both parties, due to the possibility of creating a market that goes beyond Angola's borders and with the entry into operation of the African continental free trade.
"We have a trade here with millions of consumers from all over the continent who can absorb the goods that may be produced here in Angola, as a result of the partnership between the two States, of the partnership between Spanish and Angolan businessmen".
The intention, explained João Lourenço, is to make the products that come to be produced in the country be transformed locally, to add value, leaving with the brand "Made in Angola".
After declarations to the press, the Head of State offered a lunch to the Spanish delegation, where they offered to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, thus marking a new relationship.
