Propriv is "putting the Angolan economy on the international investment radar," admits consultant

Ernst Young consultant, António Oliveira, considered that transparency in the Program of Integral and Partial Privatization of Public Companies (Propriv) is helping to "put the Angolan economy on the international investment radar.

:

Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the specialist made a positive balance about the program and admitted that Propriv has been transmitting confidence to the economic agents.

"Part of Propriv's success is due to its stability, and this allows us to give confidence to economic agents, and to give security and comfort to investors," he admitted.

António Oliveira also made it known that "international investors are paying attention to Propriv", which means that "the program is managing to put the Angolan economy on the international investment radar".

According to RNA, the country has been trying to foster the stock market and some companies are already preparing their way to enter the capital market. This is the case of Mota-Engil Angola, Sonangalp, Multitel, Banco BAI, TV Cabo and Sonangol, which plan to present initial public offerings of their capital next year.

The responsible considered that this anticipation "is necessary and correct given that entering the capital market is a demanding path that requires the sophistication of companies in various sectors.

"Additionally, the appetite of several companies to enter the capital market also symbolizes that our entrepreneurs consider that our Angolan economy continues to ensure interesting levels of profitability for investors who invest in the country and this gives us good prospects for the success of the Angolan capital market," he concluded.
