The idea is for the company to continue operating. However, according to the statement, cited by Angop, the airline wants to have only around 30 per cent of its employees on a permanent basis.
The document also stresses that the airline wants to share with its employees the difficulties they are currently experiencing, with a view to finding viable solutions that respect workers' rights.
Among the measures TAAG intends to adopt to minimise the negative impacts caused by the pandemic is the reduction in the frequency of flights and the possible suspension of some routes.
So far, TAAG is only carrying out humanitarian flights, but in view of the economic problems it is facing, the company is preparing to resume some flights.
