In a statement sent to VerAngola, the promoters of the initiative explain that it intends to be "a platform to help public institutions and the most disadvantaged population in Angola, combating the spread of the virus and the scarcity of essential materials".
This is a project that brings together companies, entrepreneurs or anyone on an individual basis who wants to join the movement, they add.
The objective is to gather medical supplies (gloves, gowns, masks, ventilators, tests and others) for hospitals and health centers, hire protection services for institutions, gather monetary donations and raise volunteers.
Anyone who wants to join the movement can do so from the official website (www.tamosjuntos.ao), where it is possible to access the donations page, get in direct contact with the organization, or access the services available and the chain of volunteers.
The distribution of purchased goods will, whenever possible, be carried out in conjunction with the National Health Institute (INS), and with the Health Units to which such equipment is destined, the statement also states.
"More than ever, we have to come together to help the country that has given us so much. We want to do everything possible to gather all the material that is missing in the medical units, and to contract services that help stop the spread of the virus, providing helping institutions that are in a more vulnerable position, such as nursing homes, whose disinfection is imperative to prevent the spread of risk groups ", says Ludgero de Lemos, co-founder of 'Tamos Juntos'.
