Twenty tank trucks deliver free water to needy communities in Luanda

Sérgio Rescova, governor of the province of Luanda, guaranteed this Monday a reinforcement in the capacity of distribution of drinking water in the capital to the most needy families.

:

The information was provided by the governor himself during a visit to the municipalities of Cacuaco, Cazenga and Luanda. The needy communities will be the first to benefit from the most recent program of the provincial government, which contemplates a reinforcement in the capacity of the distribution of drinking water, by means of tank trucks in the needy communities.

The distribution of drinking water for free is one of the measures that fall under the contingency plan to contain the covid-19 pandemic.

This reinforcement in the capital was achieved following a partnership between the Luanda Provincial Water Company (EPAL) and the Government. The company has also been ensuring the maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems, in order to improve the supply.

In Luanda province, water distribution will be carried out by 20 tank trucks.
