"According to the current rules, all citizens from countries with community circulation of the virus are subjected to institutional quarantine and tested before" returning to the community, stressed, in Luanda, Sílvia Lutucuta, at a press conference on the epidemiological situation.
The minister added that the doctors had already completed institutional quarantine in Cuba, which they repeated in Angola, and were tested on the seventh day.
In testing 254 Cuban professionals, of whom 203 were new professionals and 40 doctors returned from vacation, 253 tested negative and one was found to be a positive case. The computer specialist is asymptomatic and hospitalized in a referral unit, said the official, saying that the sanitary fence had already been made to the hotel where the positive case was identified.
Another 43 professionals who tested negative have already been distributed to several provinces where they continue to comply with quarantine.
So far, 1669 tests have been carried out in the country, with another 170 samples being processed, while 575 people are still in institutional quarantine.
