The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health, Silvia Lutucuta, who considered that this training will help "professionals in the rapid identification of critical patients", in their treatment "and monitoring of serious cases, observing the highest standards of quality and careful management".

She also said that around 80 per cent of new coronavirus cases are considered mild, 15 per cent are considered severe and five per cent are classified as critical. In view of these figures, Silvia Lutucuta said it is necessary to train all professionals who are part of the national health system, so that the response is effective, cited by Angop.

The training will last 20 hours, will be given in two days at the Multiperfil Clinic and will take place nationwide.

Belmiro Rosa, general director of the clinic, in statements to the press, made it known that Multiperfil is prepared to help in the fight against covid-19.

The clinic, in Luanda, is equipped with 25 beds, an oxygen supply system, five ventilators and has the collaboration of 120 professionals from various areas of health.

He revealed that the clinic is waiting to receive 20 more fans. As for the lack of material, Belmiro Rosa said there is a shortage of personal protective equipment.

However, he stressed that five tents are already being prepared in case there are too many patients admitted with covid-19 in the clinic.
