Covid-19: Two more Angolan citizens undergoing treatment in Portugal

The Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, announced that there are two more Angolan citizens infected with covid-19 in Portugal, who will join the Angolan couple already diagnosed previously and who is recovering in Portuguese hospitals.

The minister informed, during a press conference this Friday, in Luanda, that there were no new cases in Angola in the last 24 hours, keeping the record of 19 infected, resulting in two deaths, with two patients already recovered .

Asked how national authorities are monitoring citizens who should have been quarantined at home but gave false addresses, Sílvia Lutucuta said that "many of these are being found by georeferencing or through identification documents".

The minister also stressed that "fortunately, the Angolan people are attentive and have made many complaints", which has helped the authorities to find the defaulters that are being sent to institutional quarantine.

The covid-19 pandemic has already claimed more than 96,000 deaths and infected almost 1.6 million people in 193 countries and territories.

In Africa, there are 630 deaths in a universe of more than 12,219 cases in 52 countries.
