According to a brief note from UMA, to which VerAngola had access, the document was signed by Tiago Caungo Mutombo, rector of the aforementioned higher education institution, and by Isaías Calunga, president of the CNJ.
As part of the project 'Training today to serve tomorrow', this scholarship agreement protocol for young people aims to "guarantee scholarships for young people with financial needs to attend higher education in different courses at the different faculties of the Methodist University of Angola".
On the occasion, the UMA rector considered this partnership "a clear demonstration of UMA's concern with the training of young people, to qualify them to serve the country in all spheres".
Tiago Mutombo also took the opportunity to express the fact that the university is available to support other CNJ projects, so that young people can benefit.
The president of the CNJ considered that this memorandum constitutes a strategic investment for the future of Angola, as well as symbolizing a milestone for the country's educational domain, whose main purpose is to provide support to the country's young people in training.
Furthermore, according to Jornal de Angola, in the event was also announced that UMA will support the CNJ in terms of training agricultural engineers, an initiative that is already being implemented in Bengo and will be extended to other regions of the country.
In addition to the two managers mentioned above, the act was also witnessed by teachers, students, members of the CNJ, among others.
