Using social media, the federation announced that the continental event will take place between May 4th and 10th.

"Luanda, Angola, hosts the IMMAF African Championship 2025 from May 4 to 10," reads the publication made by IMMAF on its Facebook page and to which VerAngola had access.

Scheduled to take place at the Kilamba pavilion, in the capital, the championship takes place as part of the celebrations of the country's 50th anniversary of independence, which take place on November 11, and Angola will be represented by four teams: cadets, juniors, seniors and masters.

According to a federative source, cited by Angop, the teams can carry out a pre-competitive stage, outside the province of Luanda.

Among those pre-summoned are athletes such as Rafael Ngombe, Dário Sousa, Stélvia Muhanha, Maria Caxoco, Wilson Manuel, Paulo Mavinga, among many others.

Angola is once again the host country of this competition, after having hosted the 2023 edition.

It should be noted that, in addition to the CAN, Angola will also host the MMA World Championship in 2026. The confirmation was made in April last year by the Angolan MMA Federation, which, at the time, highlighted that "Angola will have the honor of hosting the MMA World Championship in 2026, for the first time in the country's history".
