At the ceremony, which took place on Monday morning, in the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace, the head of state began by wishing "many successes" in the performance of these new functions.
"To the Secretary of State, to the ambassadors, to the vice-governor, I would like to take this opportunity to simply wish them much success in the roles they will now play," he said, in a speech released by the Presidency of the Republic and to which VerAngola had access.
According to João Lourenço, the newly appointed will occupy "functions in different areas", and the important thing is to "enhance" Angola.
"They will occupy positions in different areas. The important thing is to enhance our country, wherever you are, whether here within the country – in the case of the Secretary of State and the Vice-Governor – or outside the country, in the case of our ambassadors," he said.
The President of the Republic ended his speech by wishing everyone "great success".
