According to a statement from SADC, to which VerAngola had access, during the meeting, the ministers will review and discuss "both the degree of compliance with the decisions of the Council and the Summit, the progress made in terms of materializing the motto of the 43.ª Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government" – which took place in August last year, also in Luanda, under the motto 'Human and Financial Capital: The Main Factors for Sustainable Industrialization in the SADC Region' –, as well as the "Regional Development Indicative Strategic Plan for 2020-2023 and the SADC Emergency and Humanitarian Operations Center (SHOC), or disasters occurring in the region".

In addition, the council will also approve the Annual Institutional Plan and the organization's secretariat budget for the 2024/2025 financial year.

According to the statement, the session of the organization's Council of Ministers will be preceded by the meeting of the SADC Standing Committee of Senior Officials, to take place on the 4th and 5th of this month, as well as by the meeting of the Finance Committee, scheduled for March 6th.

"The Council of Ministers supervises the functioning and development of SADC and guarantees the concomitant execution of policies and decisions", comprising, as a rule, the minister responsible for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Economic Planning, Finance or Trade, "of the sixteen SADC Member States, and meets twice a year, namely in March and August", the note also states.
