In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the Institute for Management of State Assets and Participations (IGAPE) informs that, within the scope of the Privatization Program (PROPRIV), as of this Wednesday, is "open the public tender for privatization, in the form of sale of assets, of the Mecametal industrial unit located in the Special Economic Zone Luanda – Bengo, approved by Presidential Order No. 232, of 2 October, and by Order No. 7060/23, of 21 of November, of the Minister of Finance, whose previous process was abandoned within the scope of Public Tender no. 03/23".
Therefore, IGAPE states that applications can be made through the electronic auction portal until the 8th of next month.
"Applications must be made on the Electronic Auction Portal (https://leilaoigape.minfin.gov.ao/) until 12:30 pm on April 8, 2024, and the electronic auction will take place on April 9, 2024 , from 00:00am until 1:59pm", the note reads.
The terms of reference of the competition, adds the institute, "establish a period of visits, corresponding to the same period of applications, so that the investor can carry out the recognition and surveys necessary for a good assessment of the quality of the asset".
These visits must be scheduled in advance, "by sending an email, indicating the date" intended to visit the asset, as well as the "number of participants for each interested entity, which cannot exceed five people, these are responsible for the costs inherent to their travel".
