Angola wins 23 medals, seven of which are gold, in the African karate contest held in Namibia

A total of 23 medals, seven of which were gold, were won by the country at the Namibia Regional Karate Do Championship. Regarding the country's performance in the competition, the national coach, Carlos Makiesse, said it was very successful.

"Angola's participation in this competition we consider to be successful, taking into account the number of medals that our team managed to obtain throughout the competition", pointed out the coach, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

According to Carlos Makiesse, the Angolans won seven gold medals, eight silver medals and eight bronze medals: "Eight silver medals, eight bronze medals and seven gold medals".

The person responsible also highlighted that this result reflects the work they have been developing.

"To say that the result speaks for itself of the hard work we have been doing in the pavilion attached to the citadel. Our athletes managed to convey everything we were talking about throughout the preparation time for this event", he said, quoted by RNA.

Carlos Makiesse once again reaffirmed that it was a successful competition. "We consider it a very successful competition for our team," he said.
