In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company highlights its IMEX & BEKO stands, in which the brand has become a resident in the national territory with a new assembly line inaugurated on the 20th of January by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes.

The company presents itself in yet another edition with solutions for household items, paints, raffia bags and construction material, as the President of the Republic himself was keen to see on site.

João Lourenço was accompanied by the group's CEO, Ramzi El Houchaimi, having had the opportunity to understand and learn about the dynamics of IMEX articles present in the national market over more than two decades, in "arduous growth" and in constant improvement, says the company.

The Chief Executive – present at the opening of the fair and accompanied by Ana Dias Lourenço – had the opportunity to visit the raffia bags stand, where the company owns national production of polypropylene fiber bags with or without logo printing. In what is the largest factory of raffia bags in sub-Saharan Africa, IMEX meets various needs in the national market, with emphasis on the sectors of industry, commerce and agriculture.

Then, the CEO presented the Smartflex stand, a business in which the company has, since 2008, the largest national production of spring, foam and orthopedic mattresses, with various therapeutic characteristics.

Finally, the officials stopped by the Beko stand, a brand with 50 years of worldwide experience in kitchen appliances. The IMEX group owns an assembly line for the brand, which is also the first assembly line for domestic appliances in sub-Saharan Africa, inaugurated in January.

With a strong presence and impact in the industrial sector, IMEX was founded in Luanda, in 2003. In a sustained expansion and growth, it has been investing in several sub-sectors, and currently owns nine brands present in the national market: Smartflex, Beko, Ambience, Decor, Sopinta, Hipo, Raffia Bags, Kuxilo and Kuzeka.

The 5th edition of Expo-Indústria opened on Wednesday, March 29th, running until next Saturday, April 1st, at the ZEE. The fair is attended by around 230 companies, from eight provinces of the country, gathered with the aim of encouraging investment in Angolan industry and the development of national production.
