At issue, according to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), is the "attempted fraudulent subtraction of an oil tanker called "Ngol Dande", belonging to Sonangol Shipping, with false documents of purchase of the vessel".
Those involved, ten citizens aged between 29 and 38, including seven Nigerians, one Sierra Leonean and two Angolans, including a ship captain, sailors and two shipping agents, are accused of crimes of criminal association, theft and use of false documents.
SIC also announced the arrest of a Chinese citizen, accused of having broken the tax seal on the container without the presence of the customs authorities.
