‘Made in Angola’ fair will bring together 400 companies focusing on the potential of the industry and national goods

In May, the first ‘Made in Angola’ Fair will take place. The event should bring together around 400 companies in the country with a view to boosting the industry's potential as well as the consumption of national products.

The event, in which 80 million kwanzas were injected for its execution, will take place from the 11th to the 15th of May, in Viana.

About 400 national companies are expected to participate in the event, half of which have already registered.

According to Carlos dos Santos, chairman of the Board of Directors of the event promoter C Calas, the fair aims to promote the potential of the country's industry as well as the consumption of national products.

"It is intended that agricultural, forestry and derivatives, fisheries, mining and industrial products; services such as the transport, banking and telecommunications sector produced and operating in Angola have visibility to be marketed in other foreign markets, especially in neighboring countries", he informed, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

According to the official, the completion of the fair will generate around 300 temporary jobs.

Carlos dos Santos also made it known that the fair - which will take place annually - will be installed in a space with 25 thousand square meters, and exhibitors will pay an occupancy tax in the amount of 45 thousand kwanzas per square meter, writes the Jornal from Angola.

According to the same newspaper, the fair will be promoted by the Industrial Pole of Viana in partnership with the ministries of Economy and Planning and of Industry and Commerce.
