"In 2021, Sociedade Mineira de Catoca achieved the best financial results in its history, with net profits above 200 million dollars, exceeding the average achieved in the last five years", informed the PCA of Endiama.
The official, who was speaking as chairman of the Board of the General Meeting of SMC, at the 68th General Meeting of Members of Catoca, said that this result exceeds the average of 140 million dollars, achieved in the last five years.
Cited by Angop, José Manuel Ganga Júnior said that "the team led by Angolan Benedito Paulo Manuel has achieved many successes over the last three years".
The official clarified that the positive result was more evident with the results of last year, when a worse scenario was predicted because of covid-19.
Civil society officials, cited by Angop, considered that the current management also stood out for having generated closer relations with the local government and the community, as well as for having created social projects that had an impact on the lives of several families.
Laureano Receado Paulo, administrator of Endiama, considered that these achievements maintain confidence in the current management: "The team that wins does not move, and I congratulate the entire collective of workers of this important company, for the good results presented", he said.
According to Angop, the same vision is shared by Raimundo Santa Rosa, Executive Director of the Instituto de Gestão de Activos e Participações do Estado (IGAPE), who as a representative of the partner LLI, admitted that "Catoca's results surpass all expectations", leaving them "completely comfortable and confident that this management team is doing a great job".
