President dismisses RNT's board of directors

The National Electricity Transport Company (RNT-EP) has a new Board of Directors. On Monday, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço signed a decree dismissing the Board of Directors and another decree appointing new directors for the company.

According to a note made available on the Government's Facebook, the head of state dismissed José de Jesus Marinho, Maria Clara Vieira de Andrade Carvalho Sanches and João de Sousa Barradas from the positions of Administrator for the Areas of Planning and Network Management, Administrator for the Market Operation and Regulatory Affairs Areas and Administrator for the Transport Network Management Area, respectively.

The list of exonerations also includes the names of Mário Augusto Alberto dos Santos, who will no longer serve as Director for the Finance and Information Technology Areas, and David Teixeira de Carvalho, who is leaving the position of Non-Executive Director.

In another decree, João Lourenço appointed Rui Pereira do Amaral Gourgel to the position of President of the Board of Directors.

António da Silva Inglês Pinto and Mauri Hernany Ferreira Martins will also be part of the board, who will act as Director for the Planning and Project Management Areas and Director for the Market Operations and Regulatory Affairs Areas, respectively.

Pedro Manuel Sebastião was also appointed as Director for the Transport Network Management Area and Mário Augusto Alberto dos Santos as Director for the Administration and Finance Areas.

As non-executive directors, the President appointed João de Sousa Barradas and Altino Salvador.
