The information was provided by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AIPEX (Agency for Private Investments and Export Promotion), António Henriques da Silva, after a meeting with the Saudi business group.
According to the Angolan official, among other sectors mentioned, the Saudis showed greater interest in the oil industry and its derivatives, as well as in metallurgy, specifically in steel and iron artifacts.
According to Angop, businessmen have been informed of the iron ore deposits present in the country, and the Government may contribute to facilitating investments in the sector.
António Henriques said that the group interested in these investments is made up of 72 companies and employs more than 50,000 workers, operating in different sectors of activity.
The business delegation also met with Diamantino de Azevedo, Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas. The chairman of the multinational group Astra Mining (Arab Suppy and Trading Company), Ali Musa al-Jabrah, "went to find out about the facilities, incentives and points of attraction for foreign investors in Angola", says a statement from the ministry.
This Tuesday, Saudi businessmen are visiting the Luanda Bengo Special Economic Zone, in order to witness the reality of this industrial hub.
