The IPCN "recorded a variation of 1.77 percent from January to February 2022", indicates the document, which adds that with regard to monthly variations, prices suffered a "deceleration of 0.23 percentage points".
In year-on-year terms, there was a deceleration of around 0.31 percentage points.
The data also reveal that the "Clothing and footwear" category registered the biggest increase in prices, with a variation of around 2.1 percent. The classes "Alcoholic beverages and tobacco", "Furniture, domestic equipment and maintenance" and "Miscellaneous goods and services" followed, with variations of 2.08 percent, 2.01 percent and 1.97 percent, respectively.
Huíla (2.18 percent), Malanje (2.13 percent), Lunda Norte (2.11 percent) and Cuanza Norte (2.06 percent) were the provinces that registered the greatest variation in prices.
The provinces that had the smallest variation were Bengo with 1.47 percent, Bié with 1.61 percent, Luanda with 1.66 percent and Cunene with 1.67 percent.
