Comprising 25 classrooms, the institution is expected to house over 1,000 students at different levels of education and promote training on cultural exchange between Angola and China. The institution, according to the note, is divided into buildings: one for offices and one for teaching. It also has a library, laboratory, computer room, canteen, and infirmary, among others.
According to the statement, construction of the school began in the second half of 2019 and was reportedly completed last year.
This Saturday, with the inauguration of the school, 50 young people were able to gain their first job in education. According to Angop, the institution will allow to generate about 250 jobs, among teachers and employees.
Victória Correia is one of the 50 young people contemplated this weekend. The elementary school teacher was happy to have got her first job and assured that she will work to help the children with their learning.
Jorge Simão, a computer teacher, admitted that the school complex appeared as a way to meet the demand for a first job.
In turn, Francisco Shen, the president of the Board of Directors of "Faixa e Rota", the organization responsible for managing the institution, said that 12 external scholarships were made available to the El Bethel reception center and also made it known that this initiative will be extended to the Huaqiao University in China, where Angolan students can finish their higher education.
