Of the new cases, 38 were registered in the province of Luanda, 11 in Huíla, eight in Uíge and one in Cabinda.
According to the health authorities, one death due to the disease was registered in the province of Luanda.
Forty-four people were considered recovered from the disease, of which 38 in the province of Huambo, three in Luanda, one in Bié and one in Cuando Cubango.
Angola now totals 20,981 cases since the start of the pandemic, including 511 deaths, 19,553 recovered and 917 active.
The pandemic has caused at least 2,560,789 deaths worldwide, resulting from more than 115.1 million cases of infection, according to an assessment made by the French agency AFP.
According to the most recent data from the African Union Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), the number of infected people on this continent since the beginning of the pandemic is 3,924,755 and the number of deaths 104,672.
The disease is transmitted by a coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) detected in late December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
