Control at the entrances and exits of Luanda with no record of new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours

Of the more than 1000 citizens tested in the last 24 hours at entry and exit points to and from the capital, none tested positive.

According to a note from the government, posted on its Facebook page, a total of 1104 citizens were tested in the past 24 hours, of which 851 were male and 253 were female. Of this group, 141 had a reactive test "of which 108 IGG, 22 IGM and 11 IGG/IGM, giving a SARS-COV-2 exposure rate of 12.8 percent."

According to the Executive's review, between January 16 and March 3, 16.199 travelers from abroad were tested after landing, of which 4137 were female and 11.862 were male.

Of the more than 16.000 passengers, 47 tested positive, of which 31 were male and 16 were female. "This group is composed of 18 angolans, four tanzanians, three brazilians, three somalis, two nigerians and two guyanese, among other nationalities with one passenger each," advances the Government.

"As for the origin, the countries are Portugal, with nine positive cases, Dubai five, Tanzania four, Mozambique four, Brazil three, Germany three, Sao Tome two, Guinea Conakry two, France two, Mauritania two, among other countries with one case each," adds the note.

Of the more than 40 passengers who tested positive to covid-19, 38 had already fulfilled the institutional quarantine.

About the vaccination, the Executive also made it known that it has already started in the country. The first vaccines were administered on Tuesday, March 2nd, when the first batch of 624,000 vaccines arrived.

On that same day, 92 people were vaccinated: "On the same day that the vaccines arrived in the country, a group of 92 people were vaccinated and have not shown any contraindications in the last 24 hours.

The vaccines, provided by Covax, will be administered in two doses, eight weeks apart.
