During this Wednesday morning, in Luanda, the new ministers of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security - Teresa Rodrigues Dias, of Education - Luísa Grilo, and of Commerce - Victor dos Santos Fernandes took office.
The Secretary of State for Labor and Social Security, Pedro José Filipe, and the Angolan ambassador to Cuba, Maria Cândida Pereira Teixeira, were also sworn in.
During the session, João Lourenço will have drawn the attention of the new state members, more specifically to the new Minister of Labor, to the need to guarantee training and employment for the youngest. "With guaranteed employment for the youth, we can expect that part of them, once prepared and trained, may also be small employers", said the President, quoted by Angop.
With regard to Education, the holder of the Executive Branch advised the staff in the area to work towards improving the quality of education in the country, with special emphasis on the Portuguese language. He referred to the deficit in the domain of the language by the students, defending an increased demand in the education system.
Regarding trade, the President argued that the country needs to stimulate domestic production, requiring a “perfect marriage” between the commercial and the productive sectors. "Trade must be perfectly aligned with those that produce goods and services in the country," said João Lourenço.
The head of state also referred to the need for the Ministry of Commerce to reduce imports of goods that can be produced locally.
