:

The information was released this Monday by Alvaro Otero, Uruguay's ambassador to Angola. The diplomat met with President João Lourenço in order to congratulate him on his end of mission in our country, taking stock of the cooperation between the two countries during his five-year term.

Thus, he said that Uruguay will be ready to implement - “until the first half of this month” - an investment in the order of ten million dollars in the meat processing industry. The bet will be directed to beef, more specifically to the delicatessen segment. Uruguayan businessmen are expected in the country between the 8th and 20th of this month.

“We have encouraged the direct relationship of companies, which has been very good in terms of cooperation. We had an exchange of visits by ministers from both countries and other senior officials. Let's start with a simple project, because there is not much raw material yet. We are trying to identify the cattle to be able to process that meat ”, said Alvaro Otero, quoted on the Government of Angola website.

Cooperation between the two countries is expected to continue, with the diplomat reinforcing his Executive's interest in investments in the areas of agribusiness, health, energy, infrastructure, civil construction and water.
