Franco Mufinda said that there are 120 citizens quarantined in two centers. "The majority are Chinese, resident here. Angolans, we should have around 12, and one Croatian", enumerated the Secretary of State. The official explained that of these there are two Chinese citizens and one Croatian who are causing more concern, since they are the only ones that have the main symptoms.

The Secretary of State also assured that "all provincial hospitals are prepared to receive" infected with Covid-19.

At a press conference in Luanda, he also denied rumors that pointed to a case of infection by the new coronavirus in an oil company in Angola, referring that the communication was not made by an official source and warned of the dangers of disinformation.

"We are in a phase of considerable leadership with rumors. There is a lot of noise in the communication regarding the management of Covid-19", stressed the government official, guaranteeing that the authorities get to receive "over 15, 20 information of this kind" daily.

In this sense, Franco Mufinda addressed the population and called that "each one, at his level, must make an effort" to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic from affecting the country.

The official also said that Portugal is not included in the list of states signaled by the Angolan executive due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, but admits that it is something that can change.

"In this phase, we built, in the scope of prevention, lines with restrictions from some countries, which are four: Iran, South Korea, Italy and China, with a single criterion, which was the failure to contain the cases", he began by explaining Franco Mufinda, at a press conference in Luanda.

In this sense, the Secretary of State admitted that Portugal can enter this list "if the cases continue to increase", guaranteeing that, for now, this is a scenario that is not yet on the table.

"We know that we have a lot of air communication with Portugal, we also follow this epidemiological cadence and that may dictate the entry or not entry" in the list of countries indicated, said the minister.

Franco Mufinda added that the authorities admitted the travel restriction from Egypt, but that this has already been removed after having verified that "there was not such a striking evolution to stay in this group".
