Going to FILDA this year will be 50 percent more expensive

Scheduled for 14 to 18 July, in the Luanda Economic Zone (ZEE), the well-known FILDA - or Luanda International Fair - is one of the largest fairs in the country. Business aside, the price of access tickets has increased by 50 percent.

According to Expansão, at the presentation of the 2nd National Exhibition on Fairs in Angola (Expofeiras), held by Eventos Arena at Hotel Epic Sana, the price of FILDA tickets will rise.

Individual tickets, whose price was previously set at 2000 kwanzas, will now cost 3000 kwanzas this year, an increase of around 50 percent.

A source from Grupo Arena cited by the newspaper justifies this rise with the need for a re-adjustment in the price list, taking into account the size of the fair, being one of the events that requires the largest investment by the organization.

The remaining fees will be maintained, namely for the registration of companies. 50,000 kwanzas will be required for registration, to which the interior space without a stand will be added at 45,000 kwanzas per square meter (m2) or, with a stand, at 70,000 kwanzas per square meter. Outside, the price per m2 decreases to 18,000 kwanzas.

There is also a start-up package that works in a 'turnkey' style, in which the stand is pre-assembled with a counter and front panel, and that is around 250,000 kwanzas.

In the other fairs - nine events are planned to be held in the provinces of Luanda, Namibe and Benguela - the rates remain unchanged.

The chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Arena, Bruno Ricardo Albernaz, affirmed that it is intended to continue to stimulate the exchange between Angolan companies and international businessmen from different sectors, since the achievements achieved in these exhibitions are reflected in several areas of the national economy.
