The information was provided by Ariclenes Gomes, executive director of Tegma-Su, the group to which the factory located in the province of Malanje belongs.
The actions underway to open these new production lines are over 70 percent complete, and it is expected that, once completed, the products will be exported to countries such as China, Mozambique, Brazil, Cape Verde, Portugal, South Africa and the United States of America, according to the person in charge, quoted by Angop.
As for the launch of the new lines, February is the month set for this to happen. According to Angop, the factory plans to launch the cassava line this month, while the production of fried and frozen bananas has recently begun to be tested by the factory, with the possibility of definitively and officially starting this month.
According to the administrator, speaking on the sidelines of the five-year anniversary celebrations of the factory, celebrated on 21 February, the factory currently has an investment of over 10 million dollars, which has been used to develop various products and expand production lines.
Mateus Vunge, administrator of the municipality of Cacuso – where the factory is located – highlighted the advantages of the region with the emergence of this factory, since it employs local labour and the investment boosts the local economy.
It is worth highlighting that the resilience of the Tegma-Su group was praised by the Business Confederation of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP). Given its investment grade, Nelma Fernandes, president of the Executive Committee of the CPLP Business Confederation, considered the aforementioned group as resilient and bold, which has helped to diversify the national economy, presenting a remarkable history of overcoming, innovation and economic development, writes Angop.
Currently providing 200 direct and indirect jobs, which mainly benefit young people from Cacuso, the factory unit is dedicated to the production of fried and pre-fried rena and sweet potatoes.
