OBCLA will “work” to have a biomedical laboratory in each province

"We are going to work so that, at least, in each province there is a biomedical reference laboratory", said the person in charge, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

Furthermore, Joaquim Levita said that the formation is also on the order's betting table.

"We are working on training, we already have a high number of graduates (...), so we are going to form partnerships with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Institute of Specializations of the Ministry of Health for a postgraduate degree", either for " offer of specialties" either for training masters and doctorates, explained the person in charge.

The president also said that they also want to take Angola to the international scene. "We are committed to ensuring that our country is also a member of the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, along with Kenya and South Africa," he said, adding: "We are still reminded that many of our exams, many of our diagnoses, are validated from foreign laboratories".

"We still have many challenges with fake biomedical doctors, fake technicians, who invent results, who invent diagnoses, we listen carefully to this partnership we have with the general SIC to combat economic, laboratory and public health crimes. We will do everything to ensure that there is supervision, to that there be inspection, so that there is quality control, all of this aimed at improvement", he said, quoted by RNA.
