USA intends to invest in training Angolan technicians in the agricultural sector

The United States of America (USA) intends to invest in the training of Angolan technicians in the agriculture sector, informed Xochitl Torres Small, deputy secretary of the US Department of Agriculture, who held, this Monday, a meeting with António Assis, minister of Agriculture and Forestry.

The deputy secretary of the US Department of Agriculture – who explained that the US's intentions include investing in the Portuguese-speaking country in terms of training, especially in the agriculture sector – also said that there is collaboration with Angola in the field of livestock farming, through the export of various types of meat (goat, beef, beef, etc.) to your country, writes Angop.

The hearing also served for the two officials to talk about matters related to the distribution of school meals, family farming, commerce, as well as reviewing the North American country's recognition of seeds resistant to climate change and drought, among others.

The holder of the Agriculture and Forestry portfolio, cited by Angop, highlighted the fact that there is a priority in training and training technicians in order to exchange experiences and develop the private sphere.

Without going into details, António Assis also took the opportunity to recall the existence of documents signed by the presidents of Angola and the USA, João Lourenço and Joe Biden, respectively, which are already being worked on, writes Angop.

It should be noted that Xochitl Torres Small heads a delegation of businesspeople from the USA that carries out a three-day visit to Angola.
