The competition took place between January 17th and February 15th, 2024, aiming to award contracts for each of these products for a period of 12 months.
14 companies were invited to the competition, of which seven submitted proposals: BP, Glencore Energy, Trafigura, Gunvor, Vitol, Mercuria and Totsa.
“After the clarification and negotiation phase, an assessment of the cost-effectiveness of the proposals was carried out”, which resulted in the choice of BP, reads the Sonangol statement.
With this contract, the supply of fuel is guaranteed for the next 12 months, “allowing the market to be supplied without fluctuations”.
