In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first legal instrument, a memorandum of understanding in the field of sport, aims at cooperation in 10 areas, ranging from the preparation of athletes and coaches to programs to support and promote sports for people with disabilities, including institutional cooperation, sports medicine and the fight against doping, harassment and discrimination in sport and the organization of sporting events.
A second memorandum, between the Diplomatic Academy "Venâncio de Moura", of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain includes cooperation in diplomatic and consular education and training, and also the cooperation in training specialists in foreign policy, international relations, international law and international economic relations, as well as in other related matters.
Finally, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism on cooperation in the field of industry.
This legal instrument specifically provides for the "sharing of policies, technologies and research related to the industry to reinforce and develop digital solutions for the industrial sector" and the "exploration of new opportunities for industrial cooperation, through the sharing of information on industrial segments with cooperation potential".
This third memorandum also aims to "identify sectors with high potential for diversification for intelligent production that can be mutually beneficial" and "participation and collaboration in the organization of congresses, conferences and events related to the industry".
The documents were signed this Tuesday, in Luanda, as part of the official visit of the Spanish kings to Angola.
Also on this Tuesday, the first day of the official visit, the Kings of Spain met with the President, João Lourenço.
Felipe VI and Letizia arrived in Luanda on Monday, Angola being the country chosen by the two monarchs for their first visit to sub-Saharan Africa.
This Wednesday, the Spanish King and the President of the Republic will speak at the Business Forum and interact with businessmen from both countries.
Before returning to Madrid on Wednesday afternoon, the Kings of Spain will visit the National Assembly and the Museum of Military History.
