"With the approval of our intervention plan for Luanda, we are going to build 616 new health units, in the next five years, to give the second-line hospital system the necessary slack that can respond with greater quality", said the governor, quoted by the National Radio of Angola (RNA).
The official also referred that the capital currently has 760 doctors, a number that he considered insufficient to "help 10 million inhabitants".
"Our province today has 760 doctors, it is still too little to help 10 million inhabitants", said Manuel Homem, quoted by RNA.
In this sense, he informed that, as a result of the 2022 public tender, the capital will receive more than 100 new professionals.
"We are going to receive, as a result of the 2022 public tender, 176 new doctors", who will join the "provincial system", he added, quoted by RNA.
