Petro de Luanda beats Wydad and is leader of group D of the African Champions League

Petro de Luanda, coached by Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, beat Moroccans Wydad 2-1 in Luanda this Friday and leads group D of the League of African Champions Clubs in football.

The Brazilian Tiago Azulão opened the scoring, in the 41st minute, after a counterattack.

In the second half, the Moroccans enter willing to equal the result, which they achieved in the 59th minute, through Alal Daoudi.

The Angolans from Petro de Luanda reached the winning goal, through Yano, in the 68th minute.

In the other game of Group D, also in Luanda, the Angolans of Sagrada Esperança drew 0-0 against Zamalek, from Egypt, and occupies the last position of the same group, with one point, after defeat by 0-3, in the first round in front of the Wydad, on Moroccan soil.

The two Angolan teams will face each other, in a match for the third round, in Luanda, on 26 February.

Petro leads with four points, Wydad is second with three, Zamalek is third with two, and Sagrada Esperança has one point.
