Vaccinated citizens qualify for a monthly premium of 100,000 kwanzas

This award aims to encourage citizens to adhere to vaccination en masse, since more than five million people did not show up at vaccination posts to take the second dose of the vaccine against covid-19, according to Good Will Ambassador Yola Semedo , who announced the measure during the pandemic data update session in the country.

Each person, chosen at random, will receive 100,000 kwanzas, the singer said. One million kwanzas will be allocated to each province monthly.

The Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado, reported that the Government lost more than 331,000 doses of vaccines due to its expiration date being exceeded this Monday. "This represents a cost of more than six million dollars", said the Minister of State, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, adding that this amount could be used to solve various problems that the populations face.

Francisco Furtado, who also coordinates the Multisectoral Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19, appealed to citizens to get vaccinated, so that it is possible to reduce the negative impact of the pandemic in the country.

Angola has already immunized more than 12,822,013. people since the start of the vaccination campaign on 2 March 2021.
