Abel Chivukuvuku says he would only accept to integrate an MPLA government with his proposals

Politician Abel Chivukuvuku said this Wednesday that he would only accept joining an MPLA government if they accepted his proposals, reiterating that he has been talking "with all" parties about his participation in the country's political life.

:

Abel Chivukuvuku, who continues to fight in court for the legalization of his political project PRA-JA Servir Angola, repeated that he will participate in the general elections of 2022 anyway, speaking at a press conference to make the process known.

"I can confirm that PRA-JA today is like the beautiful girl in the neighborhood, all the boys want the girl. It is the girl who has to be wise not to go with the first bandit that appears," he said.

Abel Chivukuvuku said that he is talking, at the request of the different political parties, and making his assessments.

"And when I say everyone is really all [the parties], we know the relevant political forces in the country and we are saying that everyone is after us, [because] the girl is very beautiful in the neighborhood," he said.
Asked if "everyone" also includes the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), Abel Chivukuvuku said yes.

"I already explained that one of the problems with PRA-JA was that they would like us to join the Government, this is public, and we had many discussions about it. And my position is simple and clear: it is normal for the ruling party to want, PRA-JA has staff to participate in the Government, it is normal and patriotic. Only in my understanding, you do not want to do in the country is this, this and this, do you agree or also want to give your ideas, how should we do it the country, that is, we agree on the country’s realization model ", he said.

The politician stressed that he would not accept simply joining the Government, without the position he defends because everyone knows "the political culture of the MPLA". "They use and dispose, and we are not disposable", he stressed.

In the last few days it has been reported the possible return of Abel Chivukuvuku to CASA-CE, a political coalition that participated in its foundation in 2012, and led until 2018, with the possible departure of the leadership of André Mendes de Carvalho "Miau", the request from four of the six political forces that make up what is the second largest political force in Angola.

In view of the difficulties in legalizing his new political project, which has been underway since 2019, another hypothesis that has been raised is the entry of Abel Chivukuvuku into the political party Bloco Democrático.
Both considerations were never confirmed by Abel Chivukuvuku, who continues to believe that PRA-JA Servir Angola will be legalized.
