Malfunction leaves several districts of Luanda without electricity

A breakdown in a cable from ENDE (National Electricity Distribution Company) left several neighborhoods in the city of Luanda without electricity, since Monday night, the energy distributor informed.

According to the ENDE statement, the problem affected a 60-kilowatt cable connecting the substations from Cuca to Maianga.

The Prenda, Cassenda, Mártires do Kifangongo and Rocha Pinto neighborhoods are deprived of electricity, in the municipality of Luanda and Cuca district in the municipality of Cazenga.

ENDE stresses that it is working to restore supply to the affected areas as soon as possible and adds that while repairs are underway, the installations must be considered as if they are under tension.
